Okay, after seeing the reviews on my more controversial anti-cure pic (that I've scrapped), I decided to make a more intelligent satire pic. Basically, if you learnt about the history of Eugenics & Social Darwinism, people use to think that if you were a white anglo-saxon with lots of money & so forth, you were more evolved & more likely to survive than anyone else. Here, as you can see in this pic, the Autistic child seems is at the very bottom--even under the young chimp--which reflects on how people today cruely see autism as something that makes you less human. I think there ideology is wrong.
*always thought some of the old black caricatures were cute, in a strange way even though the caricatures were made by racist southern white folks upset 'bout not being able to have black slaves no more....*
</weird random thought>
And I think "young chimpanzee" and "autistic child" might be equal to the curebie folks......they see their kids as uncontrollable hairy animals they must somehow tame to be their idealized version of a child.....not that much different from how the "negro" apparently was to the people in the south in the 1800's.
In a sense, thats sort of the idea. It shows that people who think people with Autism are "lesser" than they are no better than the racist ideals of Social Darwinism back in the 1800s.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.

Nicely executed thought path... you have to stop and think about the message.
Also an example of how things don't have to be complex to say a lot.
